Description

Cosmographei contains a world map, regional maps, as well as cosmographical maps.The world maps includes, present-day North and South America, as well as the continent of Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. Other land masses, such as present day Greenland, are present on the map but unlabeled. In the oceans are images of large ships and sea creatures. The latitude are marked along the outside wings of the map, and the longitude are marked along the equator. Outside of the world, the ‘winds’ are marked by the heads of men who are blowing onto the Earth.
